These funny little fellows are always here in reasonable numbers. They have their babies about the same time as the Ducks and also nest in the reeds. Usually at the East corner but their nests are further out into the lake on the edge of the reeds. There was a pair of them nesting on the North east side as well. They are members of the Rallidae (rail) family.
